Three Crosses. Two Thieves. One King.

A poem from Calvary.

Snatched from the claws of death
The humble thief on the cross with my LORD
Right before he drew his last breath
Set free from sin's sinful chord

Years in sorrow, years in shame
Lived without honour, a life of regret
Right before he drew his last breath
Mercy drew him to the Saviour's side

Still on the cross in prideful pains
Hung the impenitent thief with my LORD
Right before he drew his last breath
Squandered his hope of eternity sure

Hung on the cross guiltless for me
My LORD and King crucified for me
Right before He drew His last breath
"Today in paradise thou shalt be with me"
