Show Up Even On The Bad Days
How bad do you want it?
Behold it comes.
That wave of sudden doubt and depression.
Everything was running smooth just a minute ago.
Faith was loud and hope was close, but now it feels like somebody flipped the switch.
Have you had days like this, when everything just seems to change under a minute. One minute you are bustling with confidence and clarity. The next minute you are doubtful and confused.
I guess we all have days like this.
But listen to King Solomon’s admonition:
If you show yourself lacking courage on the day of distress,
Your strength is meager.
Your disposition on days like this would reveal just how bad you want that goal, that dream, etc.
You cannot quit. You cannot allow yourself to become disappointed and laid-back. Fight through the waves of disappointment, confusion, and depression.
That is what great men do. Get back to doing what you should be doing.
You cannot only show up and do what you need to do on days that you feel like it.
“The hallmark of excellence, the test of greatness, is consistency.” — Jim Tressel
Show. Up. Everyday.
The world deserves to see the better you.
You deserve to meet with your better version.
