Don’t Feel Like Writing? Find Out How to Write Great Content Even On Your Off Days (With This Simple Hack)
You too can become a prolific writer..
Aristotle said: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
Ever wonder how some writers are able to consistently put out excellent content with scary consistency?
Well, I want to quickly share with you one simple hack you can start using today in writing great content even on days when you don’t feel like writing.
Another way I could have phrased the title of this article would have been: Join the elite group of prolific writers; use this hack today to be able to write without thinking. Or, this simple hack helps you achieve mindless excellence as a writer.
Good? Or does it sound clickbaity?
Discipline still remains fundamental.
Before we get started, I just want to remind you that in addition to what I will be sharing today, the fundamental fact still remains that to be excellent you need consistency. And to be consistent you need discipline.
I am hoping you already know that though.
Here’s a simple hack you can use to ensure you write great content even on your off days:
On your off days, never start your writing from scratch.
That’s it.
Normally I don’t advise that you start writing from scratch on any day. But I understand that there are days when it is almost inevitable.
But especially for off days, you should not begin writing from scratch.
Always have a repository of one or more of the following:
- Brainstormed ideas
- Potential article titles
- Unfinished/unedited articles
- Drafts of dumped ideas
- Free writing drafts
There will definitely be days when no matter how disciplined you are, you just won’t feel like writing or publishing anything. In those moments, your consistency will depend on the systems you have set up.
Do not fail to build strong writing systems.
