Don’t Do More, Just Change Your Strategy

Sometimes all you need is a change in strategy, nothing more…

We know that determination and consistency are necessary to achieve tangible success. But, sometimes, what you need is to stop altogether and change your strategy.

Peter was a very hardworking fisherman. He was diligent, determined, and consistent at what he did. He and his partners toiled all night on a certain day, yet they caught nothing. They kept toiling, yet they had nothing to show for all their efforts.

They didn’t have a consistency, discipline, or determination problem. It was a strategy problem.

Jesus comes on board, and he tells them, cast your net to the right side, and boom! They had an unbelievable catch. Their net broke.

It is the same thing with us most times. What we need is not more work but a complete reevaluation of our core ethics, belief systems, and worldview. And we will immediately start getting the results we want.

And most times, this new strategy eludes us because we are too busy justifying why we must continue doing things in the same way.

We shut out the suggestions of others and continue meeting with brick walls in our journey.

No man is an island.

We all need each other to grow and evolve into greater versions of ourselves. At no point in this journey would you know it all. We must commit to learning, unlearning, and relearning.
