I remember writing my first article on Medium like it was yesterday.

How time flies.

Here are 3 simple yet profound lessons I have learned so far:

1. “A little progress each day adds up to big results.”

I’m not quite where I want to be, but I am not where I was either. Seemingly little improvements daily will idefinitely yield big results.

Keep working on your craft every day. It might not look like much now, but give it time, and you will be amazed.

2. “The goal is progress not perfection.” — Kathy Freston

I went through one of my earlier articles yesterday, and it is pretty glaring how much my writing has changed. It still is not perfect — I doubt it will ever be — but I have improved measurably. And that is what matters.

3. “Eighty percent of success is showing up.” — Woody Allen

There were times I felt like quitting, especially when I found out that my country wasn’t eligible for the MPP. It was sad, still I found a way to continue.

Today, I am not celebrating how many followers I have got, but how many articles I have been able to put out, how much I have grown, and all that I have learned in the process.

No matter what, never give up on writing.

It might be tough now, but giving up will definitely not make you feel better.

Push through the doubts and fears, and write.

Keep writing, keep making progress, no matter how seemingly small.

Progress is progress, no matter how small.

It can only get better from here. 💖
